Real estate professionals who have survived the last four years have done so for a variety of reasons.  However, many have done so by working the short sale and foreclosure markets.  I congratulate them on their ability to respond to market changes and survive, or even prosper.  However, there is no doubt that the market will return to a more normal buyer-seller balance at some point.

Over at naked capitalism.com is an article about the 12 reasons to hate the almost-done mortgage settlement.  What do I mean by "you" in the title here?  It seems that much of this is ending up as another bailout of the banks at taxpayer expense.  Go read it for an education.
